Panic Away and Real Illness
Constant panic attacks are a s
ymptom of panic disorder, a psychological condition that can cause the sufferer to believe he is dying or going mad. Many people suffering first time attacks call the paramedics because they think they are having a heart attack or other serious health emergency, and even if they know it is only a panic attack they may be convinced they are about to die.
A visit to the doctor may set the sufferer’s mind at rest when he has been examined and pronounced free of heart disease or other ailments. However, some anxiety sufferers may go on to convince themselves all over again that they are sick and the doctor just did not pick it up. Panic away are a serious problem, even if they originate in the mind, and there is evidence that they increase the risk of heart attack or stroke in menopausal women.
Barry Joe McDonagh’s Panic Away system teaches sufferers to stop symptoms with a set of easy exercises that can be done in seven minutes to stop an attack.
